Meet Stormy
Stormy is a seal brown, off the track Thoroughbred, often referred to as an OTTB. She is a mare (female horse) and is an absolute love. She is the most social of the herd and always ready to greet people. She came to us very shut down, being referred to as an orphan who never had a real home. Shuffled around from place to place after being on the race track, she has finally found a safe space with us. Unfortunately, because she was a former racehorse, she has many physical ailments we are working on rehabbing. She came with scars and years of wear and tear on her body. This has made her a beautiful partner when working with teen girls, non-binary teens, young adults and those struggling with self-harm. She shows the clients her grace and power that comes along with her scars and ailments. The immediate connection she made with teens and young adults was astonishing. She was meant for therapy work. With our help and some time, she will bring comfort and healing to so many.
