Detective Waybright joins Rusty Halo!

We are honored and excited to have Detective Christi Waybright join as a Halo Helper and bring her expertise not only to the program, but to the teens directly.  She was gracious to give us her time to have lunch with a couple of the teen girls in the program and talked to them about what it means to be a police officer.  While I am sure it was her husky mix puppy that sealed the deal, but the girls have said they would like to be police officers working with the K-9 units.  One piece of advice Dt. Waybright gave them was to learn to use their voice and hone their communication skills.  Using horse back riding lessons, the girls are able to build their confidence, find their voice, and improve their awareness. These are all great lessons that will not only help them in their daily lives, but prepare them for a future in law enforcement if that is the direction the decide to pursue for their future.  The opportunities will be endless for them with the skills they are learning.
